Tie A Yellow Ribbon

Most students at Ontario Middle School today, don't know what a record album was, much less than the song "Tie a Yellow Ribbon 'Round the Old Oak Tree." But OMS staff know the significance of the song. Secretary Linda Meeks helped show the school's support of U.S. troops by tying dozens of yellow ribbons around the tree in front of the school.

The 1970s hit song by Tony Orlando & Dawn included the lyrics:
"I'm comin' home, I've done my time.
Now I've got to know what is and isn't mine.
If you received my letter telling you I'd soon be free,
Then you'll know just what to do
If you still want me.
Tie a yellow ribbon 'round the ole oak tree."
