Mrs. C's Class/How Laws Are Made

Fourth graders in Mrs. Christensen's class took some time to study the legal system - how laws are created and the role of law enforcement.

As part of its studies, the class visited the police department, touring dispatch, the booking room, a holding cell and the back seat of a patrol car.

Students then traveled to Vale, Malheur County's county seat, to watch a court proceeding. Judge J. Burdette Pratt and the attorneys spent a lot of time with Mrs. C's students discussing law and all the job opportunities in the legal field. One student wants to be an attorney now!
