Musical Demonstration at May Roberts

Students at May Roberts Elementary School were treated to a demonstration of musical instruments known as "strings," by Mrs. Robyn Ronneburg and her daughter, Chelsey. Strings make up part of an orchestra, or are played by themselves.

In addition to explaining about each instrument, the ladies played the:

  • guitar

  • mandolin

  • ukelele

  • violin

  • autoharp

  • Heather harp

  • harp, and

  • psaltery (an ancient stringed instrument similar to the lyre or zither but having a trapezoidal sounding board under the strings!)

Did you know there were so many types of stringed instruments?
