Sgt. Joshua Brennan's platoon member honored

Medal of Honor bestowed on soldier who rescued Sgt. Brennan

On Nov. 16, 2010 President Obama bestowed on Sgt. Sal Guinta the Medal of Honor for his rescue of local hero Sgt. Joshua C. Brennan after Brennan was wounded in battle on Oct. 25, 2007.  Three years after the act of battlefield bravery, Giunta became the first living service member from the Afghanistan and Iraq wars to receive the nation's top military award.

Joshua Brennan was a 2003 graduate of Ontario High School.  His sisters, Courtney and Brooke, are currently students in Ontario School District. They attended the ceremony in Washington D.C. with her mother and siblings.
